How to convert videos to 3gp Converting videos to 3gp format may sound hard but really it's a peice of cake! The one thing you will need a peice of software to convert the videos, we use something called Xilisoft 3gp converter because its dead easy to use (and cheap to boot!). For this guide we'll assume that you are using this 3gp converter (if you want a copy scroll to the bottom of this page)... First off open the folder containing the video(s) you wish to convert (like the picture below). Then open Xilisoft 3gp converter a drag the videos you want to convert into the white area under the headings name, duration etc. You can see in the picture below I have dragged a selection of clips into that area. There is a profile drop down box listed below, by default it is set to 3gp however if you ever wish to convert to another format such as 3g2, aac, avi, m4a, mp4, wmv, rm then you can choose it there. There is also a box called destination, just enter the name of the directory where you would like the encoded videos to be stored e.g. c:\my3gpvideos\ Then the only thing left to do is press the button called 'encode'. It may take between 10 seconds and 30 minutes to encode depending on the number of clips/length of the clip/and the speed of your computer. Sorted!
